Connor Smith

Connor Smith is a Scottish Tenor, Choral Conductor and recent graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where he attained an honours degree in Vocal Performance. He is a private singing student of Professor Scott Johnston. He has worked extensively around the country in choruses and as a soloist with companies including Scottish Opera, Opera Bohemia, The Scottish Chamber Orchestra, The Scottish Fiddle Orchestra, Caledonian Voices, RCS Voices and many others.

As a conductor, Connor studied with Nigel Boddice and Alisdair Mitchell while at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland - focussing on Choral Conducting. He has been assistant conductor for Ayr Choral Union, Schola Benedicti, as well as taking sessions with many of Glasgow’s Choral Societies and is frequently praised for his humorous and approachable style of working. Highlights of his conducting schedule have included conducting choirs in Vatican City at the Tomb of St Peter, Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, St Paul’s Outside the Walls, and Ayr Choral Union - in a greenhouse!
